Hey, my name is Voithontas Airgethlam and I'm a trans, intersex and recently disabled person living in the UK. Due to my disability in unable to lift heavy objects, walk or stand for long periods, have a stable sleep schedule or remember complex tasks. For this reason I am unable to work most jobs and am instead financially dependent on a parent whose abuse has worsened since I was age thirteen, recently turning physical (I am 21).
This is happening as the household is moving to a town in Scotland where I am cut off from any support network, friends or nearby family. My mother is also using my PC (my only means of earning money) as a bargaining chip to stop me leaving, which has made planning this escape a nightmare.
What I am hoping to do before my disability worsens to the point that I'm totally unable to escape my situation, is make my way to a safe place, find a queer support network and then attempt to get some manner of stable or emergency housing there.
This GoFundMe campaign would cover; travel costs, emergency food and water, at least a week or two of lodgings (likely a hostel) advance, and any emergency money in case things go wrong.
