Voiceover and Acting lessons for Desmond
Donation protected
Hello friends and family!!
I’ve been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to make a GoFund me for this or not, but I finally decided it’s worth it!
Desmond has been begging for ages, to take acting lessons, so that he may one day become and voiceover actor. He’s been practicing on his own in his room just about every night while he’s reading. He’s made up some of his own voices, as well as honing his Donald Duck impersonation.
We finally got him started in voice acting sessions and he’s doing amazing and he’s very excited to be learning how to become an actor. He’s been working hard on trying to memorize a half page script to perform for his acting coach and I am so pleasantly surprised with how well he’s been doing with that!!
These lessons are also helping him with his own confidence and his ability to just be himself!
Now for the help request.
Obviously something like this can be quite costly, and sadly it is too much for our budget.
Most of you have followed my Desmond stories since he was born and you all know he is autistic, but you’ve seen what an amazing kid he is. He’s smart. He’s funny. He’s a character! And when he’s passionate about something, you can’t stop him. And I just feel like, if any kid deserves to get these lessons, it’s him.
For one full year of lessons it will cost $5,000. His sessions are once a week with fun coaching and personalized training techniques. His coach is a wonderful woman named Debra Crosby. This woman is amazing and works with kids just like Des, all the time. She really gets him, and he is working so hard.
Again, I’ve grappled with setting up a fundraiser for this, but I just won’t be able to support him in this financially, and he really is working hard!
Anyway, any help is helpful! No amount is too small! We appreciate it, and I KNOW Des will too! If you can’t donate, please share this with you’re friends and family if you’re comfortable doing so!
