Voice of a Generation Short Film
Donation protected
Voice of a Generation follows a struggling actress whose big break leads her to a break from reality as everyone around her surgically implants her - optimal, gorgeous - voice as their own. It’s absurd, it’s fun as hell, and it deals with big questions about AI and self-curation and the currency of identity.
Our tried and tested team is led by Peter Litzow (Screenwriter), Carly Steyer (Director), Megan Calfas (Producer), and Eurica Yu (Cinematographer). We most recently collaborated on a sold-out show in NYC this past spring. A documentary following the show is currently in post-production.
We’re excited to bring on Nadina Hassan as our lead actor for this project, who just finished her run as Regina George in the Mean Girls the Musical tour.
We plan to release this short online and are hoping that this project both makes a splash and can serve as a strong portfolio piece as we move into the next stages of our creative careers.
We’re raising $15,000 to produce the film which will go towards compensating our crew (a DP, gaffer, sound mixer, and editor) and renting film equipment.
We start shooting on August 30th! If you'd like to donate, contributions by August 20th would be especially amazing.
Any contributions are greatly appreciated and we'd love to honor your generosity:
$250 - Friend of the Film Level (t-shirt)
$500 - Patron Level (t-shirt + acknowledgment in the credits)
$1,000 - Executive Producer Level (t-shirt + executive producer credit)
$3,000 - Supreme Executive Producer Level (t-shirt + executive producer credit + private screening with the team)
