Voice Masterclass at Manhattan School of Music

Standing in solidarity with the Black community, 21 members of Manhattan School of Music's MM'19 and PS'19 degree programs joined voices virtually to sing the beloved spiritual, "Were You There?" with "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" (arranged by Tom Wine) in June of 2020.

Our hearts ache from the senseless violence, racial inequities, and social injustices that have harmed and limited opportunities for our Black brothers and sisters over many years.

With this video, we hope to make positive change through arts and education by sponsoring a voice masterclass or series of masterclasses led by a Black artist at the Manhattan School of Music.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 (for one masterclass) or more by November 30, 2020. We thank you for supporting our efforts and joining this important cause.
