Vocation Appeal

Dear Friends,
My name is Octavia Lover. I am making an appeal for help, in the area of financial support to pursue my religious vocation. Perhaps you have some friends or acquaintances who would be willing to help me in this way? I have been pursuing a religious vocation for some time, visiting different religious orders, praying and asking God, where it was He wanted me to enter. And now, I have been lead to a religious order of sisters, The Daughter's of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus in Steubenville, OH. I have known this religious order, for many years.
It wasn't until I came back from Ecuador this past year, that I had an epiphany. Not realizing, that I have been interacting with these sisters and involved in many of their activities for several years now. It was up until recently, while I was there on a retreat, that the Lord revealed to me that this is where He was calling me to. I was very surprised at this reality. So I began to pursue this tugging in my heart and finally spoke with Mother Superior. This new revelation has brought me to pursue serious questions and directions on how to enter this religious community and whether they would receive me. I have spoken with Mother Superior and as of 5/15/17, I have been living with the Sisters in their Convent as a Candidate. This order has an optional time called candidacy. This is for young women, like myself who have to pay off debt. They permit me to live, work and pray with them. During candidacy, the Sisters, pay for all the food, and house expenses, while I put all that I make towards my debt. I am working and have a job, but it pays very little.
Mother has directed me to contact friends and people that I have met that may want to help me achieve the desire in my heart to be a religious sister. As of right now, I owe $11, 019.00. Please do not feel that if you can't give a thousand dollars right now, that you can't give anything. Anything, will help. And if you cannot give at this time, I understand and ask for your prayers and I in turn will pray for you. May God bless you.
