Help Ibrahim and his family in Gaza

My name is Nadia and I'm an active member of the Arab community in San Diego helping to bring aid to victims of the ongoing situation in Palestine. Many of us in the San Diego community came to know Ibrahim through the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF). In 2014, when Ibrahim was just 14 years old, he was playing soccer with his friends when an Israeli airstrike hit the area, killing his best friend, seriously injuring his brother, and causing him to lose his leg. His life was changed forever in that split moment. A few years later, the PCRF was successful in bringing Ibrahim to San Diego for treatment and to be fitted for a prosthetic leg. He returned to his family and home in Gaza in April 2020. During his stay, Ibrahim captured the hearts of everyone he met with his quiet strength and kind spirit. We have stayed in touch with him ever since.

Ibrahim is still alive but his family is living in unbearable conditions. They’ve been displaced multiple times, living between shelters and tents, and left with almost nothing. Recently, they were able to return to what is left of their home—damaged, unstable, but the only shelter they have. Although they have lost so much, and we know how deeply they need support, Ibrahim and his family are incredibly humble. It is out of love, care, and concern from all those who know him that we are starting this fundraiser on their behalf.

Join hands with us in helping Ibrahim and his family during these catastrophic times. They have lost everything. Once a young boy full of hope and dreams, in a stable home with food and surrounded by loved ones, now coping with homelessness, starvation, and daily killings of his family and friends. We don’t want them to lose hope. The financial assistance will help to feed Ibrahim and his family. I will be responsible for ensuring the aid is delivered directly to him and his family.
