Help me replace my car

Hi everyone,

My name is Matt, a lot of you know me as The Tiny Geek or just Master Chief.

Long story short, I need to replace my now inoperable car and need your help to afford the down payment on a used car.

This past week someone hit-and-run my car while it was parked, destroying one of the axles and destroying the alignment entirely. The tire shop I towed it to replaced the tires despite this without notifying me, destroyed my clutch, and stuck me with a bill for hundreds of dollars and a car that's inoperable. The cost to repair everything is now way too high for me to afford or to even be worth fixing.

My car was how I take my costumes to conventions and sponsored events, my only way to get to work, and as of a couple of months ago it was the only car my girlfriend and I had after her engine gave out completely. We've been on increasingly tough times financially and even though we're barely making it work, the fact that we're now stuck without reliable transportation is putting an immense burden on us.

So I'm putting aside my pride and asking you guys for help. My car was on its last legs and was disintegrating inside and out. I want to replace my 22-year-old golf with a newer used car that's comparable. There are a few options locally but with how bad the used car market is currently, the down payment looks to be around $2-3k. We can't afford to have another unreliable car that will break down on us every month.

I'm honestly hesitant to ask for help but it's an emergency and we don't have anywhere else to turn. Every bit that you guys can help with means the entire world to us and we're forever thankful to you guys for all of the support.
