A friend of mine, Laura Hagelthorn and her family is in urgent need of financial help! I hope this will help her and her husband and their 3 young girls ages 8, 3, and 2 get support during these times of distress!
On May 24th, The Hagelthorn Family had a devastating experience that nearly cost them their lives from the extreme floods that came through San Marcos, Texas. Their home and belongings destroyed and in much need of clean up and financial help. Please consider this family to donate to and help them get back on their feet! This is her story..
"4:30am I hear the cop sirens and a bullhorn, I snap awake and crack my window to hear what is being said and I hear "This is the SMPD (San Marcos Police Department), please evacuate. Get out NOW!" So I rush around waking everyone up, getting them dressed, I check the door, the water is in the street, I shut it and say "we need to go NOW!!" I open the door and my mom steps out and falls immediately, with my youngest on my hip, I snatched my mom up and rush her to the car in knee deep water with my oldest & youngest. My husband has the middle child. We back out my driveway and the car is filling up with water.. then it dies. I immediately get out with my baby on my hip and wade out in waist deep raging water in front of the car with my hand up because there's a truck coming. They stopped and grabbed my kids out of the car that's filling up fast, my husband goes back for the dog, they get my mom in the car. My husband throws the dog in the back and jumps in. They drive us through the new river that is Barbara Dr. The truck starts filling up with water, covering our feet. But eventually they got us to the shelter alive."
Horrifying experience her and her family had to go through! Please help them and their little girls, they need so much help right now. Anything helps, thank you so much!
