Funding for Frankie

Dear reader,
My name is Daniel and Im humbled to share my story. My journey began In December 2019, when I was blessed with the opportunity to adopt a 2-year-old rescue dog. After adopting Frankie, I learned he was abused/neglected by being injected with growth hormones. Until Frankie was under my loving care, he never knew what it was like to be a pet. He was born, bred and raised for unimaginable reasons. For anyone who rescues a pet, I can say with confidence the pet rescues the owner, just the same.
For the past 6 years, I have been living and working in the hotel industry in New York City. Frankie was my angel sent from above, for he couldn't have come into my life at a more opportune time in need. A few months after adoption, our bond grew closer for Frankie and I relied on each other dearly when the COVID-19 pandemic hit the US. He was my one and only "family" living in our NYC apartment, throughout this difficult time. Anyone who knows me knows Frankie was not just my pet, he was my son, my side-kick, my world.
Fast forward to 2022, just after Frankies 5th birthday, he started having major health issues with his breathing. Frankie went into a respiratory crisis in which he underwent surgery involving shaving his soft Pallot, taking his tonsils out and widening his nostrils. This surgery cost me 10k and at the moment, I did whatever it took to ensure my 5-year-old furbaby had the opportunity in living an anticipated long and healthy life.
After lighting candles at St. Patricks Cathedral and countless prayers, Frankie made it out of his surgery and was on his road to recovery. All my family and friends were so thrilled to hear the wonderful news that my baby was "healthy".
On November 13th, Frankie's health took a turn and was decreasing by the hour. Admitted back to the Animal Hospital, treatment and numerous tests, Frankie was seen by a neurologist, who shared with me the most devastating news that would forever change my life. Frankie was diagnosed with a Meningitis bacterial infection in the back of his brain. Had I kept him alive, his livelihood would have involved excessive treatments, more hospital visits, pain and suffering, just to face the inevitable outcome that we only had a 1-month life expectancy. After the unconditional love and joy Frankie brought to my life, I refused an ounce more of Frankie to suffer. At that moment, I then made the very difficult, selfless and heartbreaking decision to have my baby cross the rainbow bridge while being held in my arms...

Anyone who knows me on a personal level knows I have a heart of gold and would give the shirt off my back for someone in need, without expecting anything in return. Prime example, within my career, I have touched the heart of many, and worked directly with the "Make-A-Wish" Foundation, ensuring Wish Kids' wishes come true.
I never thought I would be in a position in having to seek financial help; however, doing everything and anything I possibly could to keep my "family" alive and healthy, all I have left now are the precious memories, along with $15,000 in financial debt.
Rest assured, any dollar amount generously donated will be truly a blessing and allow me the stability to move forward with my life. I do greatly appreciate all who have taken the time in reading my story, even if donations aren't provided.
Thank you in advance and God Bless!
