My name is Devin, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my wife, Jen, and our family during a time when everything seems to have happened at once.

On New Year’s Day, our family received news that changed our lives — Jen’s father was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive prostate cancer that has spread to his bones. While we are grateful it has not spread to his organs, the diagnosis and the sudden decline in his health have been overwhelming for all of us.

At the same time, our family is navigating several difficult circumstances. We recently welcomed a newborn, we are facing job instability, and we live in an area currently dealing with dangerous winter weather and ICE , which has added stress and safety concerns. To make matters harder, Jen’s parents do not have medical insurance, leaving them exposed to mounting medical costs during a moment when no family should have to worry about finances.

This fundraiser is not about asking for handouts — it’s about asking for support during an unexpected crisis. Our goal is to ease some of the financial pressure from medical bills, travel costs, and basic living expenses so our family can focus on what matters most: caring for Jen’s dad and keeping our family steady during this season.
