Support a Hardworking Individual Facing Eviction

Hello. It’s been a challenging year.
Three years ago, I became a school bus driver. I had also worked for a local grocery store since the pandemic, and both jobs helped to make ends meet. I ended up quitting the grocery job this February to work as kitchen help for a local restaurant. After six weeks, the restaurant let me go because business was slow. They ended up calling me back to work in July. By that time, my work as a school bus driver diminished from 35 hours to 20 hours bussing a day camp. I couldn’t wait for school to start!
But once school did start, that’s when I had the bad luck of not engaging the parking brake as I put the bus in neutral to load the field hockey team to take them to their game. The bus rolled slightly, causing the school district to decide to no longer have me as their bus driver.
Being underemployed for so long has led me to being in arrears of my rent. I have a court date on Wednesday, October 2nd. If I can come up with the $5,266 I owe in back rent, they will cancel the eviction.
Your help is so very appreciated, and I will do what I can for each and every donor to pay back my gratitude in any way that I can.
