Dalton's Recovery
Donation protected
Dalton had a horrific accident last week that left him in a coma for a few days. Medics airlifted him to Boston Medical Center to some of the best doctors in the country for traumatic brain injuries, as unfortunately Dalton had bleeding in the brain which led to immediate surgery. Nurses did not expect him to live through the first night.
Many have reached out to offer support, and we cannot thank you enough. Doctors advise right now for Dalton to remain at this medical center until he can be medically transported to Chicago. We are a strong family, but all this is sudden and immediate…and is and will continue to be very expensive even with health insurance.
A few months ago, Dalton was offered a position with a juniors hockey team in Boston. He moved to Boston to be with this team while concurrently finishing high school. He was on the path to his dreams. Dalton’s accident did not happen on-ice (while actually playing hockey) but it probably will redirect his life plan in every way.
Dalton has a heart of gold and a desire and strong will that fuels his passions. He loves fishing and his 6-pound dog, Minnie. He was in his coma for 3 days, but is able to understand and communicate in parts recently. He keeps saying how much he misses his family, teammates, and friends. He is tired and unaware in many parts, but we can see how hard he is fighting.
Our family cannot say enough how much we appreciate your consideration and donation.
