Sherry and Jim need our help

This is for some very close friends of mine Jim and Sherry. They are wonderful people who are always helping others. Recently, Jim, a veteran, has become disabled with both heart and back problems that make it impossible for him to work. He has been working with the VA and SSI for over three years to get on disability. In addition, his wife Sherry, who has helped my family over and over again has been diagnosed with cancer. She has had to have a trach put in due to having tumors completely closing off her throat, and she has to have a stomach tube. At the moment, neither of them can work and in spite of the dire need they have at the moment, the VA is being slow to provide help. They are in eminent danger of loosing their home, not to mention having their utilities turned off. In addition, they are loosing their phone service, which they desperately need in order to keep up with their health related appointments. They don't even have money for gas to get to doctor's appointments or buy food. It breaks my heart to see two people who do so much for others be in this situation.
