Dear friends and family,
I'm starting a fundraiser for my lovely niece, Ellie Lively and her family, Peter, Alana, and Katie Lively. They have been through medical battle after medical battle for 6 years now. Ellie has got to be one of the braviest and toughest kids out there. In her little life, she has endured multiple brain surgeries and procedures , many difficult seizures, long ICU stays, and too many to count hospital appointments due to a brain aneurysm that hemorrhaged at 5 weeks old. This resulted in severe brain damage. Today, Ellie is unable to move around like most 6 year olds. She cannot stand, walk, or even crawl. Nor is she able to speak, or eat, or even see. However, despite these huge physical set backs, she continues to smile, laugh, and dance with her feet in the air. Alana and Peter have come to the hard decision to move out of their two story home. Their current house is not wheelchair accessible. It also cannot accommodate the necessary medical equipment that protects not only Ellie, but also Alana and Peter from further injury. This is a major financial burden for the Lively's, and I long for the loving community around them to give them a bit of support and care. I'm challenge each one of you today for two things. One is to give just $20. The second is to share this fundraiser to your friends and family. $20 may seem to you to be a very little gift (and I'm not saying you can't give more) but it would mean the world to Alana and Peter who have been fighting this battle for so long. They could do with some loving arms around them to carry them through, and help them be able to meet Ellie's physical needs each day safely and effectively.
