Hi, my name is Taylor and I created this fundraiser for Ross and Emily to help lessen the burden of what’s to come. As many of you know, on March 27th 2023, Ross was in a pretty gnarly motorcycle accident and has been hospitalized until further notice. He suffered a broken Tibia/Fibula, a fractured ankle and a majority of his body is covered in painful road rash. He has successfully completed his first surgery to place an external fixator to temporarily secure the lower portion of his leg and to minimize movement while the swelling subsides. Ross is scheduled next week to undergo yet another surgery to place pins, rods and plates to stabilize the bone permanently. (Finally getting his wish of being Iron man) After that surgery has been completed, Ross will begin his long 6-12 week recovery process. Once he regains some strength, he will then begin physical therapy/in-patient rehab. Meaning, not only will Emily become Ross’s full time care giver, Ross will be unable to work during this recovery process. While we are extremely fortunate that he’s still with us, this accident has already reared its ugly head. Earlier this week, Ross and Emily found out his insurance is out of network with the hospital and bills are already accumulating. Ross and Emily are the last people to ever ask anything from anyone but are always the first to give with their entire heart.
