HAFA ADAI my name is JACOB MARTINEZ. I'm from the village of Talo'fo'fo, Guam. I
enjoy running, biking, playing football, and
overall just being a normal 10 year old boy. One day I came home from school so
excited to ask my parents if I can join
football. They both agreed. I tried out for
one of the youth football teams " THE
SOUTHERN COWBOYS" . Each day I
would always look forward to when there
are practices. I was always excited to get on the field and do my best; most especially to
just enjoy myself and have fun. Until, one
night which was the evening of me and my
twin sisters decade birthday when I had
blacked out. Now this would be my second black out in a 3 weeks span. My whole life
had just turned upside down. I had gone to
the hospital and of course they ran some
test. The next day my mom was able to bring me to the clinic for a follow up with my
private doctor. From there she ordered an
echo cardiogram. It took about a week to
get my results. The results of the echo
showed that I had a Intramural RCA. Which
is a vessel that supplies blood to the heart
that doesn't seem to be coming off of what
it should normally be. Basically, I need to
undergo heart surgery. Therfore, I would ask
for prayers and donations to help get by
such a tragic thing both my mom and I will
be dealing with soon. My doctor is currentlyworking on getting us to CHLA to visit a
pediatric cardiologist, whom I believe is
going to be my best friend there because he will be the one closest to my heart. Thank
