Help Ismael after a Traumatic Car Accident

Donation protected

UPDATE :
Ismael is now home and recovering from facial reconstruction surgery on multiple facial fractures. They have placed titanium plates in his face to reconstruct bones that were not able to be fixed . The facial fractures he has suffered are such; Zygomatic arch fracture , mandibular fracture,  orbital floor fracture , and zygomatic fracture . My family and I want to thank all who have donated and shared this link. This means so much to us and especially to Ismael knowing he can some what recover peacefully without having to worry about the financial burden this accident has caused . There is still a long road to recover as well as the legal actions that may need to be taken due to this accident . This fight is not over , we still have a ways to go , but with the help from you all and God anything is possible to over come . Thank you

On Wednesday, August 11th, 2021 around 5 pm, we almost lost our brother Ismael to a tragic car accident.
Him and his girlfriend were on their way home from work, when they were struck head-on by a SUV. They were only 5 minutes away from home! First responders found them both unconscious and unresponsive. He was transported to the nearest hospital by air ambulance.
Due to the fact that he was unconscious he was admitted as a John Doe. He was intubated and put on a ventilator where he laid fighting for his life. It was not until the next day, late in the afternoon, that he was able to write down our mother’s name and number, and we were all notified of the this horrific news.
As a result of this traumatic car accident, Ismael suffered multiple blows to his face causing broken bones, a knee injury, and displacement/removal of multiple teeth. It was too early to decide if he would need facial surgery because he was too swollen to tell through the cat scans. After discharge, we were instructed to follow up with the appropriate doctors once the swelling subsided.
Today, Ismael finds himself suffering from severe pain mainly from all the injuries to his face. After a recent follow-up with the Maxillofacial Specialist, we were informed that he will need surgery. The bone under his eye is broken, as well as his Mandible (jaw bone). Due to these injuries, Ismael has not been able to eat any solid foods, which leaves him only to consume liquids. He in fact  has lost a lot of weight, which makes recovery challenging.
This is just one of the many things that he will have to follow up with. Going forward he will need to meet with a Cardiologist for an irregular heart rhythm that was found, an Opthomolgist for an orbital floor fracture to his left eye, a regular eye doctor for new prescription glasses, an oral surgeon to help replace the teeth that he is missing/fix the ones displaced, and hopefully, God willing nothing more.
We have realized that Ismael’s road to recovery will not be short nor sweet. The last thing we want him to worry or stress about is his financial obligations and the medical bills that will shortly start piling up. We want to reassure him that everything will be okay, and that going forward money is the last thing he has to worry about. We want him to know that going forward this is his fresh start.
If you know Ismael, you know the type of person he is. A caring individual who shows love to all those that cross his path. A young adult that dreamed of one day becoming an Architect. Overall, a well caring individual with a big heart. Together let’s give him the push he needs to stay strong, in these difficult times. Let’s remind him to live the life he deserves and finally pursue those dreams. Most importantly, by the grace of God, he is alive today and his job is not done here.
We thank you in advance for your donations and support. Each one, big or small, is greatly appreciated. Even a simple share is sufficient. Thank you again, for taking the time to read this and for helping us support our brother during this difficult time in his life. . We know that when the time allows him, he will thank you all individually himself.
Blessings to all, and be safe
