VMAA's Recovery Home Efforts
Tax deductible
Greetings, we are VMAA, Victorian Mothers Against Addiction, a group seeking to fight the rising issues that result from the common drugs found within our society. As mothers we have been unfortunate enough to see addiction in many forms, from extreme to minimal, fathers and children, we have seen the damages done by drugs such as cocaine, laudanum, cannabis and opium. These drugs harm the people we love and turn them into hollow shells of the people we once cared for. VMAA is ran by the well known Adelaide Green, a woman known for her activism for anti-drug use after her losing her husband and two children to opium addiction. Her story illustrates the damage done by drugs and how our group now seeks to fight that for other mothers. This story of loss to drugs is too common among mothers, 71% of mothers within the VMAA have reported knowing a spouse or other family member that is addicted to drugs. We are raising money to go to our own recovery home, where we provide food and medical care to those wanting to rehabilitate their life. This home is managed and staffed by VMAA alone and your contribution would allow us to continue funding the supplies and salaries of those who run the home. With your contribution, we are able to provide a second chance to those who have fallen to addiction.
