While most people were welcoming the start of a new year, the Barac family’s lives were shattered when their much loved husband and father, Vlad, tragically died in a workplace accident on New Year’s Day 2026.

Vlad was kind, hardworking and deeply devoted to his family. He adored his eight children, and they were the centre of his world.

This page has been set up to help support the Barac family through the incredibly tough days, weeks and months ahead. Four of the children are still attending Bingara Central School, and one of the children has complex health needs which requires ongoing care and support from Vlad’s wife.

Any contribution will help ease the financial pressure during this heartbreaking time and allow the family the space they need to grieve, care for their children, and begin to heal.

Relationship and use of funds:

I have coordinated this fundraiser in collaboration with the family, including their daughter, Angelina Stamenkovic. I have a direct relationship with the family and am supporting them to raise funds during this time.

All funds raised will be transferred directly to the family’s nominated bank account. The funds will be used by the family to support their immediate and ongoing needs, as determined by them.
