Christian's Recovery

For those of you that know Christian, you know that he is the most selfless, generous, caring, kind and loving individual. He is a loyal friend, a committed and motivating coach, and always puts others before himself. If any of you know Christian, you won’t be surprised to know that he has demanded that we don’t set this page up for him, simply because he can’t fathom taking away from CJ and CJ’s family for even a minute. However, if you know myself or anyone in our friend group, you know that none of us really listen to Christian half the time, anyway...and so here we are.
This past week, Christian fell victim to a completely tragic incident, which entailed open gunfire, and led to the loss of his best friend, his brother, CJ Elliot. Christian is fortunate enough to have survived the shooting, but suffered from a gunshot to the ankle in the process of running for his life. He underwent an extensively long, but successful surgery at Yale New Haven hospital, where doctors cleaned up shards of his bone that were shattered by the bullet, and placed two rods into his leg. Christian spent three nights in a hospital bed, working on recuperating, both physically and mentally from this tragedy. Though fortunately he is now home, he still has a long road to recovery.
As we all know, hospital and ambulatory bills are not cheap. There will be enormous medical costs for Christian, and his family. Christian constantly and tirelessly works to support his family. Because he works as a personal trainer, a job that relies on the use of his total body, it is without fail that things will start to become difficult, when he is out of work for some time.
We are asking that you please consider donating, sharing, or just simply praying for Christian. Every dollar and every prayer will be greatly appreciated and utilized towards his recovery, during this unimaginable time. We are so grateful and fortunate to still have him with us, and the least we feel we can do is ask for help in providing him with a life that is as pain-free and stress-free, as possible. We would like to thank you in advance for all of the love and support you all have provided. We love you, Christian.
**Additionally, any donations that overreach this goal will be put towards CJ’s family, and his daughter, Mya. Christian and CJ shared an unexplainable brotherly bond, and we are confident that Christian will do everything in his power to fulfill CJ’s legacy by providing everything and anything for his family, and his daughter.
