Get Rathbone moving again!
Dear friends and family
On Saturday 27 November we seven ‘young’ ladies are running the Maverick West Sussex trail race to raise money for our local youth club, the Rathbone society.
This will be our first trail race for the Hitherfield Harrier Mums and for many of us, our first run over 10km.
This race will not be easy!! The trail will vary from fire trails, forest paths and farm tracks with hills and technical sections thrown in for good measure.

Why are we raising money for the Rathbone charity?
Rathbone provides individual support and group activities for young people and adults with learning disabilities in and around Lambeth. The charity does amazing work to encourage and support young people to become independent. Part of this support offering involves transporting young people to and from essential services and activities thanks to the use of a dedicated youth club minibus.
Sadly the minibus was stolen earlier this year. This has meant that the many young people around Lambeth who are dependent on our transport have been unable to access essential support. For some, the minibus provided their only social outlet for that week.
The cost of replacing the mini bus is more than the insurance we received and we, like many other front line charities do not have the reserve funds to purchase another van.
This minibus is vital to connecting young, disabled black people with the services they need. Please help us raise the funds to give them back their independence. Thank you.
