I was fired 3 days before Christmas. I filed for unemployment and my work is trying to deny it for no apparent reason. I’m actively looking for employment daily with no success yet. I live onsite with my family, and we paid rent and were told we had 10 days to vacate. Before all of this, we lived in the same property, different unit, and it and 2 other units caught on fire, so we were relocated to a smaller unit. Then we just moved to a bigger unit. The day I moved into the bigger unit, I was fired, and the manager lied and said that we just moved into a unit that was not supposed to be occupied. But I have a lot more than 20 messages stating that we need to move out of the smaller unit and into the bigger unit. Anyway, she lied and told the regional manager that we moved into the bigger unit without permission, and they were trying to make us leave. Long story short, they threatened us with eviction and are continuing to do so, and I have no money because they took payment for rent and no lease, which means we are month to month, and my family needs help with moving costs, a U-Haul to move everything, and expenses to get a new place. I know this is temporary and things will work out, but me and my family have never gone through anything like this, and so many lies are being spread around by the regional manager and the property manager. It’s just not right, and I’m worried about eviction with no money, and my car is broken down. I just am starting to lose hope, and I’m trying; I’m just not making a lot of progress, and being the breadwinner of the house and not being able to provide is pretty depressing and difficult. I know I’ll be back on my feet, and in a few months, we should be back on track. I just can’t see the path yet. I’m asking for help, anything at all. I don’t like asking for anything; I work for everything I have, but with the fire burning and smoke damaging most of our things, and moving 4 times in 3 months is really hard on my kids. I don’t like putting them through that, and on top of all that, the property manager making up a lie and really trying. If I did not have those text messages, I would have already been removed from the property, but I’m okay until the eviction process is completed, and I don’t know when that will be. But I know I’m doing my best, and it’s not good enough. I can’t get out of this hole and am so close to getting out. I just don’t want my kids going through that, and I would never do this, but I really don’t have any money to move or even get a U-Haul. I’m really struggling right now, and honestly, I would not ask for help at all. My son told me about this site and said they help people all the time. I’m just really trying to keep it together, at least so my kids don’t see me crying. This has been the hardest year yet. I know I have a long way to go and might not even get out of this eviction. I didn’t deserve to be fired; I did nothing wrong. They made an excuse, and when I showed them proof of them being wrong, they said they did not need a reason. The regional manager doesn’t like me, and I just need to move on, and I planned to do just that as soon as I got unemployment. Since my work is trying to deny it, I had to file an appeal, and I have proof that I qualify, and it takes up to 28 days that I don’t have. I’d like to be out of here, loaded up, and moved into another house that I don’t have to worry about my job kicking us out right before Christmas. No bonus, nothing, just drama and made-up lies that never occurred. I’ve prayed about this and really hope we get help because it’s scary and cold outside, and I don’t want my kids to be homeless at all. Thank you in advance; anything is greatly appreciated.
