We hate asking for help but this time it really is necessary. Most of you don’t know but while I’ve been out on maternity leave John fell and broke his leg which resulted in him needing surgery. He ended up having a metal rod put in his tibia (shin bone). This also caused him to loose his job because of the lack in tenure he had. We were getting by okay with him working and me being home with Adeline on Paid Family Leave. Well I decided to apply for Paid Family Leave to take care of him since he can’t drive and such because he broke his right leg. Well come to find out today, you can only get 6 weeks of Paid Family Leave in a calendar year. Therefore, we’re screwed. John only gets a little amount on disability while he’s recovering but it’s not enough to pay the bills and mortgage. We wouldn’t be asking this if it wasn’t a dire need. Any little bit helps.
