Engineer in the making
Donation protected
Hello my name is Tatiare Long and I am an 11th grade honor roll student at Renaissance High School in Detroit, MI. I have dreams of becoming an Engineer and I have worked very hard in my high school years to accomplish this dream. I have been apart of my school's National winning Robotic Engineering team since freshmen year, I am apart of the Michigan Engineering Zone and I recently received acknowledgements from the National Society of Black Engineers from the University of Michigan. I have been offered an amazing opportunity to attend the National Youth Leadership Forum on Engineering powered by George Mason University. This internship will take place this July at Georgia Tech University. This course will allow me to advance my knowledge and work hands on in various fields of engineering to help me gain a better understanding of which field of Engineering I should pursue. I believe my heart is in astronautical engineering where I can utilize my love for robotic engineering and develop robots to send to outer space for exploration, data retrieval, and so much more. When this course is completed I would have gained a greater level of knowledge, 2 college credits and opportunities for college internships. I am supper excited to begin this journey of my life, advance my skills and I am highly looking forward to the college networking opportunities. But with this great opportunity comes a pricy tuition, this course costs $4000 not including travel expenses. My family is dedicated to helping me as much as possible but I wanted come up with some fundraising myself to help out, so I created this go fund me. I didnt want to just ask people for money so I am opened to fundraising suggestions. I will be having candy drives and selling my artwork at my mother's salon and will be posting about other fundraising opportunities. Thank you for taking the time to read a part of my story and if you are able to donate anything I will make you proud! Thank you so much! -Future Engineer
