Medical bill in collections.

Back in July, I had the craziest work shifts in pizza delivery that I ever had, back to back for almost a week, closing to opening to closing shifts which were extremely busy from tourist season down here in Florida. By the end of it, my heart started skipping a beat. I tried sleeping it off since I don't have health insurance and haven't had it for years given I was working jobs that don't offer it. It got worse, along with chest pain. My partner convinced me to g I tried a free clinic that had an EKG. They sent me straight to the ER after seeing some abnormality on their machine.

I got blood drawn, another EKG, and the most scared 3-4 hours I've ever been. I was sent home with a referral to a heart doctor, who I saw the next day. My blood pressure was too high, was still having palpitations although much less than what sent me to the ER. I was given a list of things to cut out of my diet, some meds to try, and see him again in a month. That month later, I got a clean bill of health and was told to take better care of myself, and trust me, that's exactly what I've been doing because I don't ever want to go through all this again.

So I did all of this with no health insurance. Thankfully, the hospital wrote off the ER visit. The heart doctor heavily discounted my visits, which I started payments on.

Unfortunately, the ER is ran under contract by a different company. I thought everything was okay, I had my payments going into the hospital, life's good!

No, it's not. I got a "final notice" letter from the ER company for my first notice and quickly followed by a collection agency letter to the tune of $1,621.

Financially I've been in a rough spot since then. I quit my job since the stress was the cause of all this, and got another job through another pizza delivery company that promised full-time. Unfortunately, full-time only lasted for about 3 weeks before my hours were severely cut. I got hired by an upstart pizza delivery company shortly after with promises of management-level work, which turned out to be nothing like what was described to me, and put me further in debt. I went back to the other company with promises of full-time once again, which again, lasted for about a month. The manager quit, and the regional manager took over, cutting everyone's hours very short. I had a couple of expensive car breakdowns that had to do with the steering components that cost a total of $1,700 which took everything I had in savings to get my car back on the road and back to work.

I finally got a steady full-time job that's no longer pizza delivery, but took a pay cut to do it. I've been trying to get something that looks like savings up since, but getting that bill in the mail was a sucker punch, especially because I don't have the means to pay it.

As stubborn as I am when needing help, I unfortunately need it. So I'm asking for your help. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
