Hi, my name is Mariane Agapito and I’m currently based in Canada. I’m reaching out to ask for help for my aunt in the Philippines who is currently in the hospital due to a serious medical condition.

She is my uncle’s wife and has always been a big part of our family. She has been working at our local parish office since 2005, quietly helping and serving people in our community.

It’s really hard for us to see her go through this, especially being far away and only getting updates about her condition.

Her diagnosis includes septic shock likely secondary to peritonsillar abscess, along with Hypertension Stage 2 and Hyperthyroidism, which makes her condition more serious and requires close medical care and ongoing treatment.

Her hospital bill has already reached around ₱300,000 (about CAD $7,500), and it’s still increasing as she continues her treatment. On top of that, we also have to buy some medicines and supplies outside the hospital, which adds even more to the expenses.

We’ve been doing everything we can, using our savings, borrowing money, and asking relatives for help, but it’s getting harder for us to keep up. We are also helping another aunt with medical needs at the same time, which makes things even more challenging for our family.

The funds raised will go directly toward her hospital bills, medications, and other medical expenses needed for her treatment.

We are reaching out for support to help cover her medical expenses. Any amount would mean a lot to us and would help us continue her treatment.
