Please help save River

Hi, my name is Robin and I’m trying to raise money for my puppy, River’s, surgery. This poor little girl has had a rough start in life. She was only 3 pounds when I got her and she wouldn’t eat.

I found out that she has a liver shunt meaning blood is not going through her liver but it should. Side effects of this include illness, neurological abnormalities, seizures, stomach and intestinal ulcers, and smaller size. The life expectancy, left untreated, is very short too. Because of this, River needs surgery to close off the shunt. She also has “microvascular dysplasia (tiny shunting vessels in the liver) which may require life long medical management even with surgery.” We have been medically managing River with amoxicillin for her gut health and lactulose to help remove the toxins from her blood. River has gained 2 pounds since she’s been on treatment.

Unfortunately, this is not a life sustaining option and more drastic measures must be taken. Please help River get the life she deserves. Your donation no matter how big or small is greatly appreciated and will go towards the cost of River’s surgery and medical management.
