My sister Julia has been having increasingly difficult health issues for the last several months since returning to MN from missions work in Southeast Asia.   In the last week of July,  she started having unexplained swelling in her neck and chest, which led her to an emergency clinic where they did multiple tests and blood work, leading to admission to the hospital.   On August 1, during her hospital stay, she had a biopsy to remove several lymph nodes.  On August 3, the results of this biopsy led to further scans revealing a large blood clot in one of the large veins leading into her heart, which is likely what led to some of the swelling she was experiencing.  Miraculously, this clot has not caused any major complications for her before her hospital stay!  The biopsy results also revealed that Julia has stage 4 ovarian cancer.  This is an aggressive and incurable cancer, but we are not without hope, as the God we serve is not limited by science or medicine.  I originally set this site up to help Julia pay for her high deductible, which, praise the Lord, is being covered by medical assistance!!  I want to continue the fundraising however, because now that Julia has a firm diagnosis there are other pressing financial needs.  Because Julia was planning to return to the mission field in a few months, she only got a part-time job, which she may or may not be able to continue with, depending on her response to treatment.  This means that she will need help with living expenses.  Also, some medications will not be covered by medical assistance along with any alternative treatments and supplements to help with healing and relief from chemo side-effects.   We know that our God is Jehovah-Jireh, our great Provider, and that He can work mightily through His people.  If you feel led to give, this would be a huge blessing for Julia and even more importantly please pray for restoration of health, for God's all-surpassing peace and for our surrender to the Lord's plan for her life.
