Homeless

Hi, my name is Lloyd
After posting the situation my wife and I are in, it was suggested that I should start a go fund me.

This was my post

Hi everyone
I'm not one for putting personal stuff here on this public forum, but I'm really at the end of my rope.
I know a lot of you have read Patricia Dean 's post about her health and that she won't be around much longer, but what most of you don't know is the situation we're living in, if you want to call this living.
First off, we are homeless.
We've lost almost everything.
Yes, I still work, which is probably why there doesn't seem to be any assistance out there for us.

Back in June we had to leave our apartment because we couldn't afford it.
So we put our stuff in storage and tried camping in a borrowed pop-up trailer, figuring we would be able to find a place within a month or so.
But no matter how many places we applied for we were turned down. Whether because of bad credit, or whatever other reasons they came up with.
Either way seemed we couldn't find a place to live.
So we tried staying in a motel, still believing we would find a place to live, but no.
So then the motel was getting the majority of our money. So then we couldn't even come up with first and last month's rent to even apply for a place.
So we financed a camper, thinking we could get through until we could find a place.
It's now December 1st, and it's snowing, we already run out of propane once to heat the camper. So whatever I do make will go to heating this thing and gas back and forth to work.
There's no running water, we have to rely on bottled water. We are plugged into an outlet on the back side of the motel, so we do have electricity, temporarily.
The motel wants more than we can afford just to park beside it. I don't even think it's on the motel's property, but we are plugged into an outside outlet.
We just can't afford to pay them and pay for the camper, and keep it warm.
So we can't stay here.
Like I mentioned before we are truly homeless.

I know it sounds like I'm just complaining, and/or asking for money.
That is not what I'm asking for.
We need a place to live that we can afford, and a chance to succeed, or at least to allow Patricia a place to live out her remaining days.

Those who know us know that at one point we had financial stability, and a nice place to live, but life has a funny way of letting you know who's in charge.

So you may be asking why I'm even writing this.
Well, I'm attempting to reach out for help, not with stuff or money, but for thoughts and ideas.
We've tried everything we can think of, and the ideas of those around us.
We tried reaching out to the government programs, all we've received is updates on places to apply for, but once again we either get turned down or just can't afford them.

We truly feel we have lost everything.

So I guess this is how it ends, no running water, soon no electricity, no winter clothing (it's all in storage that we can't access) and no access to food banks because I still work.

Music has always been my way of enduring, it's always given me strength to get through tough times, but the only song in my head is Bob Seger's Famous Final Scene.

" Now the stage has all been set and the nights are growing cold, soon the winter will be here, and there's no one warm to hold.
As the light fades from the screen from the famous final scene "

If somehow we make it through this, we'll have all of those that have tried to help to thank, and if we don't, just know we tried.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
We know we're not the only ones going through the toughest of times, and even if there's no help for us, maybe we can give comfort to those out there like us. Know your not alone.

Lloyd Dean.
