Hi,

My name is Nicole and I am Rose Canha-Bertand's daughter. My mother is married to Adam Bertrand.

Adam had recently been diagnosed with esophageal cancer.

The cancer was advanced stage 4...

We just found out the staging about a week ago and Adam was in the hospital a second time.

He passed away yesterday, Sunday, September 19th...

Anyone who knows Adam knows that he was always a comedian, making light of any situation. He is a very kind, loving, caring father, grandfather, stepfather, brother, son and husband.

He has made my mother very happy over the past 10 years, almost 11. They recently just had their one year wedding anniversary.

Adam is the first man my mother has been with that I actually thought deserved to be with her. They were amazing together and the definition of true love.

This news has been heartbreaking to everyone.

My mother is a survivor of Hodgkins Lymphoma. She had cancer when I was a child and had little to no help going through it.

My mother wanted to make sure Adam didn't go through anything alone and had temporarily left work to be with him through everything, something that she didn't get from her previous marriage when she was diagnosed.

She would never ask for help, but she has been out of work and will now be taking on many bills on her own, so I wanted to try to raise some money for them to help my mom through this very difficult time.

She is by no means penniless, but this is still a financial burden, as it would be to anyone.

Growing up we didn't have much money, but my mom worked very hard to get where she is and I want to make sure she is able to remain in a comfortable position.

I'm sure my mom and Adam would really appreciate any donation anyone could make. I know I would be very grateful of anyone able to help.
