Sonoma county is now home to a small angel (one who has to remain nameless for legal reasons). This little boy has been through so much in his short life.. and sadly those experiences were not always good. He has now joined a wonderful family in Santa Rosa and his foster mother fights every day to ensure nothing but the best quality of life for her soon to be adopted son. She faces discrimination, intense medical emergencies, and endless hours of navigating our complex insurance and healthcare systems. This is her life.

As her son grows.. it becomes more and more challenging for her and her husband to get their child up the steps to his room. Her son is paralyzed, has constant seizures, and cannot eat on his own. He requires much care and equipment.. so a room for him on the first level of the house is imperative.

His mother had made plans for an additional room to be built on the first floor of the home. But getting it covered by insurance and government aid is a long, complicated road and not guaranteed. She has already taken out loans for the specialized van her son needs as he continues to grow and won’t be able to access more loans for some time.

Please help me help this family. They have been there for so many of us throughout the years... and now they need US. They could use hands to help clear the backyard for construction, help sourcing and acquiring construction materials, help finding alternative funding options, or anything else you can think of that might help.
