Sir Roy Stone CBE sadly passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on 12th May 2025. He was a private and quiet man who always put his family first, whilst also earning respect from those in the political world.

Those close to Sir Roy, knew he enjoyed spending many Saturdays (and mid week home and away matches) supporting Hornchurch Football Club as an Urchin!

Therefore it felt fitting that instead of flowers, we kindly ask for donations towards the club he loved, to support their future.

All donations, will be passed on to Colin McBride - Hornchurch FC Chairman - who has been incredibly supportive and accommodating during this time.

Thank you for taking the time to donate towards something Sir Roy cared about and I am sure you will agree that the world feels a little heavier without him, but that his influence and guidance will always remain with us
