Hi family and friends,
My name is Amy Rodriguez, daughter of Gladis Rodriguez who is currently in the battle with cancer. Here is a quick background of my mother’s cancer diagnosis. My mom was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer back in January of 2014. We were devastated to hear the news. Surgery was immediately scheduled to remove the cancerous tumor they found from her pancreas but unfortunately in October of 2014 we found out that the cancer spread to her liver and lungs. She has been on 3 different types of chemotherapy ever since. None have helped, but we are NOT giving up! We are on the hunt to get a third opinion from a clinic/hospital that specialize in her specific cancer(s). Waiting to get medical insurance hasn’t been easy either and the cost for doctor visits have been expensive.
Unfortunately, we lost our father to cancer 18 years ago in 1996. We are such a small family made up of my two brothers Jessie (30), Roberto (18) and myself Amy (25). We love our mother so much and will do anything and everything for her to get well and get cured. We feel that when my father was sick with cancer we were so young and couldn’t help but now that we are educated adults we can fight for my mom. Our lives are being placed on hold while my mom fights cancer. My mom hasn’t been able to work since she was diagnosed with cancer and any help we receive will help ease our financial stress. We will also need help with her medical expenses, which include doctor visits, CTscans, Laboratory blood testing etc.
Whether its $5, $50 or any other amount, our family will greatly appreciate it. And as always, if you find it in your heart to send good energy and/or prayer to my mom as she fights through this, we will be so thankful!
