Fundraising for John's family

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our dear friend John. Anyone lucky enough to know him felt the love and warmth he radiated to those around him. He brightened every room with goofiness and a contagious laugh, and his effortless generosity extended to everyone he met.

John was a fourth-year medical student at the GW School of Medicine and Health Sciences planning to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine. He was deeply committed to helping people in and outside the hospital. He loved plants, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

John was very intentional in his decision to become an organ donor and wanted to be able to impact the lives of others even after his death. He was ultimately able to share this gift of life with others through organ donation. Even though he will no longer be physically present with us, we know that John and his legacy will continue to have a profound impact on countless people for many years to come.

Con gran tristeza compartimos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido amigo John Vigil. Cualquiera que tuvo la suerte de conocerlo sintió el amor y la calidez que irradiaba a quienes lo rodeaban. Iluminaba cada habitación con sus ocurrencias y una risa contagiosa, su generosidad desinteresada se extendía a todos a quienes conocio, y su apoyo con quienes requerian sus palabras de afecto, su atencion para escuchar a quienes sufrian o tenian dolores fisicos o del alma. John fue un ser especial que dio amor a sus semejantes.

John cursaba el cuarto año de estudios de medicina en la Escuela de Medicina y Ciencias de la Salud de George Washington University, y planeaba seguir una carrera en Medicina de Emergencia. Estaba profundamente comprometido en ayudar a las personas dentro y fuera del hospital. Amaba las plantas, la lectura, viajar y pasar tiempo con amigos y familiares. John amaba la vida .

El estuvo convencido de ser donante de órganos y quería impactar las vidas de otros incluso después de su muerte. Finalmente, pudo compartir este regalo de vida con otros a través de la donación de sus órganos. Aunque ya no estará físicamente presente con nosotros, sabemos que John y su legado continuarán teniendo un profundo impacto en innumerables personas durante muchos años por venir.
