WHAT IS PROJECT ELEVATE?
Project Elevate's mission is straight-forward: to  give inner city students the opportunity to change their health and future for the better by gaining a comprehensive knowledge of training and nutrition, and, upon completion of the Project, the ability to earn an income as a Personal Trainer.


WHO DOES THIS PROJECT BENEFIT?
"Teach the children, so it will not be necessary to teach the adults."

We will educate inner city senior high school students, starting in the city of Newark, equipping them with the knowledge and experience to sit for a personal training exam. This year-long endeavor will not only give these students a platform for a possible  future career in health and wellness as a Personal Trainer, but will expand their understanding of how health is truly wealth.

WHAT WILL THE STUDENTS GAIN THROUGH PROJECT ELEVATE?
* Learn the basic of anatomy and physiology
* Gain an overall understanding of nutrition
* Guidance of mentors to support them on their own personal health journey as well as their path toward becoming a personal trainer
* Access to workshops in which they will learn and connect with peers and local residents
* Spend up to a total of eight hours per week over approximately 30 weeks doing both academic work and a hands-on internship
* A CPR/AED certification
* Successful completion of an ACE personal training exam to receive their certification as a CPT

Our long-term goal with this Project is to create a positive cycle amongst our students, both those that have graduated and those that are current, in order to create a network of great role models and colleagues amongst whom everyone can grow. 


WHERE WILL THE MONEY GO?
Breakdown of funding for this school year's Project to work with 20 students, each cost is a total for the 2020-2021 school year:

Study materials -  $3000
Exam Fee - $5000
CPR/AED Training - $2000

Instruction - $15000
Building usage / Admin Fee - $5000
