Support a Seminarian
"Behold, we have left everything and followed you."
--Matthew 19:27
Following God's call to ordained ministry involves great sacrifice. It involves leaving one's job, life, and home to move halfway across the country to attend seminary and study for the priesthood. The course of study entails a Master's degree, which is a rigorous, full-time program that involves all aspects of life beyond the academic: prayer, worship, internships, and community service. As such, there is no time for a job on the side. Seminarians are dependent on financial support from individuals and churches, as well as the occasional scholarship.
Robert E. Armidon is in his third year of seminary at Nashotah House Theological Seminary in Wisconsin. Paying tuition and living expenses out of pocket mean that he and his wife, Hannah (who has a chronic illness and is working on a Ph.D. on the Old Testament), are nearly destitute.
They both care deeply about serving Christ, the Church, and the world. They need your help to achieve that goal. If you care about building up the future of the Church, or simply helping friends in need, please support Robert's education and training.
Cost of attending Nashotah House Theological Seminary:
Tuition: $15,000/year
On-Campus living (required): $10,000/year
To put things in perspective:
If 50 people give $25 a month for the next year, that would cover the cost of tuition.
If 200 people give a one-time gift of $12, that would cover a quarter of annual living costs.
For a tax-deductible donation, you may go to the Nashotah House donation page at https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=E348515&id=5, and type Robert E. Armidon in the comments section.
Thank you for your help as we continue to follow God's call.
