Vivian's trip to help her son

My name is Emily Christianson and I am writing this on behalf of my grandmother Vivian Pipkin. On Tuesday, April 25, 2017 her son, Brian Pipkin was walking and was struck and hit by a vehicle.  Brian remains in critical condition, with numerous broken bones, collapsed lungs, and significant brain damage. He remains in a coma today at Ventura County Medical Center, which is a significant distance from my grandma and immediate family.  Due to his condition moving him closer is unfortunately not an option. 


My grandma is absolutely heartbroken that her son is in the current state that he is. The uncertainty of his recovery potential and living so far away is extremely difficult for her. To be by his side every day, she has decided to take a leave of absence from work. In order to be near Brian and advocate for his care, she is staying in a hotel close to the hospital which is going to be a financial burden for her. We are asking for any donation large or small to cover the cost of her hotel and for transportation. We are very appreciative and beyond grateful for the prayers, thoughts, love and support.


Please continue to pray for a miracle. We will be updating with any significant news that we receive. Any additional funds will go towards Brian's care.
