Vivienne's Cancer Story
Donation protected
Hi everyone, my name is Robyn and a few months ago my mum Vivienne was diagnosed with Bowel cancer. She had been feeling ill for some time and went to get some tests done and when the results came back we were not expecting to hear she had cancer. She had a growth on the left side of her bowel which after a biopsy came back to be cancerous.
You can imagine this is a very difficult time as mum had to have multiple tests, a major operation and now just started Chemo Treatment. During the operation they removed the growth, however some cancer spot were found in her Lymph nodes.
In order to make a full recovery, which is not guaranteed according to the Dr she will need to attend her Chemo appointments every 3 weeks but with this treatment she has been dealing with the side affects of chemo like being weak tired, nauseous, issues like feet swelling up, hands going numb, unable to drink cold water or touch anything cold so needing items to help with these symptoms. Making it hard for her to do her normal everyday activities.
She also has no car to get to these treatments which make it very hard, she also have been affected by the chemo and needs to get items that help her cope with the side affects of this. She is only on Centrelink payments and cannot afford to pay for a car and other items needed to get through this hard time.
As you can imagine the stress and impact it has had on everyone has been devastating. My mum looks after her grandchildren and so it has been very hard to fully care for them while going through this hard time.
We are asking if you could please find it in yourself to donate anything, big or small to help purchase a little car for mum to get to her appointments and also purchase items that will help her get through each day while dealing with chemo treatment. We ask if you can help out in any way to make this hard time a little less stressful. If you can't donate them please share to reach others who may be able to. Thank you x
On behalf of me and my family we thank you for taking the time to read this and donating and sharing. Anything will be much appreciated.
