My name is Viviana Perez. Currently, I am a sophomore in high school in Los Angeles. I am asking you to help me fund my Rotary Student Exchange year in Denmark. I will be living with Rotary host families and speaking Danish. I will be learning in and learning about one of the best public school systems in the world.
And... Did you know that Denmark was ranked #1 on the World Happiness Index? (USA is 13th.)
Given our political climate (and as a young woman of Mexcian-American heritage), I take very seriously this opportunity to be an ambassador for the youth of Los Angeles and the USA. I am a strong student and I believe that this experience will give me the insight to make a difference to the future.
When I was in 5th grade I did a country report on Norway. Funny, but it was actually a seed so inspirational that it grew into a full-on dream to experience Scandanavia. Since my mom had been an exchange student when she was in high school, I was aware that my dream could become a reality - and I did the work to make it happen. Now we just need to fund it!

A tour with other exchange students = $2500.
