Prayers and Support Needed for Vivian Welch and Her Family
Vivian Welch, 58, is now in a devastating end-of-life condition, and her family urgently needs our prayers, compassion, and support during this heartbreaking time.
On July 11th, Vivian was admitted to NPMC Hospital with a severe kidney infection and dangerously low blood sugar. Her condition deteriorated rapidly. She became septic, experienced multiple organ dysfunction—including liver failure—and was placed on a ventilator due to respiratory failure. Despite aggressive interventions, her condition only worsened.
She was airlifted to St. Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock for critical neurological assessment and care. After extensive testing and neurological evaluation, doctors have shared the devastating news: Vivian has suffered irreversible brain damage and is not expected to regain consciousness. She has minimal brain activity and will be transfered back to Hot Springs for care. The family has made the heart-wrenching decision to focus on comfort care and allow her to pass peacefully in hospice care, surrounded by love.
Vivian is the heart of her family. Her husband Roy, and children Lisa, Petie, and Matthew are grief-stricken. The sudden loss of the woman who has always been their strength, counselor, and safe place is nearly unbearable.
As they prepare to say goodbye, the family is also struggling with mounting financial burdens—daily travel to and from the hospital, meals, and the growing costs of end-of-life arrangements.
We are asking for your prayers and, if you are able, your financial support. Every donation, no matter the size, helps relieve a portion of the weight they are carrying right now.
Please stand with the Welch family in love and compassion as they face the unimaginable. Thank you for your kindness.
