Last week, my dear friend Vivian’s little pup, Chewy, had a heartbreaking accident—he jumped off a lap and suffered two broken bones in his leg. The veterinary hospital performed surgery and placed a metal plate and pins to help him heal.

Chewy is only four months old, but he is already the sweetest and most loving companion to my friend. She adores him deeply—he is truly the light of her life.
