Vivas Family Recovery Assistance

This is our tragic story right before New Years - My husband was a victim to a man who went through our neighborhood, knocking on doors and seeking to harm someone in their own home. That someone unfortunately was my husband who was nearly stabbed to death in front of our house with more than a dozen stab wounds, fractures, broken body parts and impacted critical organs. I am currently six months pregnant and I also have a two year old son. It seemed forever for police and medical to show, but my husband was stabilized and thankfully is still with us today. My husband was admitted to UMC trauma and ICU for several days for treatment and he continues to fight to be back to 100%. He is a true hero, a strong fighter and he put himself in the line of fire to protect his family. No words can describe how grateful I am to see him alive and fighting to get through this nightmare.
