Viv in pursuit of his independence!
Hi,
I am Ramya Rangaswamy, mother of Viv. We're raising $25,000 to help fund vital therapies to further Viv's independence.
Viv was born on 23rd Sept 2021. We had a very healthy pregnancy, however the last stage of labor turned our life upside down.
Viv suffered hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy during birth. MRI showed grade 2 damage in the brain with a possibility that his development might turn out to be normal with some therapies. And it was fine until he turned 5 months old, he smiled, laughed, cooed and rolled. At 6th month he was diagnosed with an evolving spastic cerebral palsy and started with traditional physiotherapy. Now, he is 31 months old and not showing any signs of significant improvement with the traditional physiotherapy. He cannot sit independently yet with very weak upper body. So we decided to try out other possibilities.
We finished one round of intensives with Dr.connerbor in the US, but it isn't enough. Everytime travelling, stay & therapies are becoming very expensive. So we are raising these funds for Vivaan to attend functional neuro therapies with Dr. Connerbor, Tomatis therapy, neuroscan balance sessions in Ravensburg, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and intensive DMI physiotherapy in rüdesheim. These therapies are essential for his development and will significantly enhance his journey.
Viv is a joyful baby who yearns for independence and delights in exploring his surroundings, but he feels frustrated when he can't do what he desires, and we want to help him achieve everything he dreams of in life.
We want Viv to thrive and are committed to providing him with the right therapies to help him achieve independence. Ensuring he receives the best possible support is our priority, as we believe it will empower him to reach his full potential.
