Viva La Vida! Brazil 2023

Dear Family and Friends, known and yet-to-be-known, Community old and new,

Today is my birthday! Hip hip hooray!

Fortyone years and nine-some months ago, I was but a dreamseed in my mama's womb. A mystery of human potential and Soul, choosing to be born into our magical world. With each turn around the sun I grew, becoming more of that potential, embodying more of that Soul…and most especially so in the last extraordinary decade.

For the past nine years I have been devoted to the transformational path of sacred plant medicine. With the help of wise teacher plants, I overcame addiction, suicidal ideation, self-limiting beliefs and ancestral trauma. I remembered my responsibility to this life and my power to make change. Now I am a dreamtree dreaming - blossoming and bearing fruit to give into the garden of Earth’s eden!

I couldn’t have done it with the plants alone.

I am forever grateful to all the people who nourish my growth.

To all the people who inspire my remembering.

To all the people who love me into dreaming.

To all of you…

and to miracles.

Three years ago I planted a dreamseed of my own; to study plant medicine and the healing ways of the Yawanawa peoples in Acre, Brazil. In January 2023, I am invited to join a group of exceptional healing artists traveling the 30hrs by plane and 8hrs by boat to immerse in the land and legacy of this awesome tribe. The precious opportunity is finally near, pulling my heartstrings on this day of my birth, singing me ecstatic!

My heart knows there is sustenance more precious than gold in the lush, green fold of the Amazon jungle. I bow to the magic that conspires to take my Soul where it needs to go, so I am made more capable of giving back to the path that has served me so well.

My dreamseed is sprouted and ready to grow- like me over all these years- with a little help from family and friends… and a little miracle.

It is vulnerable to ask for help. But vulnerability is its own medicine that heals and wholes. So, here goes…
