Hi, my name is Tina and I, like many am in deep shock and sadness for the 5 lives lost in a fatal car accident on Sunday 24th August 2025.

Two of the victims, Vitor and Gonçalo Santos, were grandfather and grandson. Vitor headed up the family restaurant in Carvoeiro, "A Marisqueira" but they are understandably closed indefinitely, whilst they grieve and try to make sense of this tragedy.

I do not know the family very well but they are always welcoming with a smile and a wave and of course, provide delicious food. I will always remember the blackout night, when they stayed open to feed us by candlelight. It was like a family coming together to take care of each other.

I would dearly like to help ease some of the financial burden for the family, particularly Gonçalo's mother and brother Guilherme by donating money to make up for the loss of income and to help with their expenses during this sad and difficult time. Please help me to show community and kindness to this loving family in their time of need.
