Vita's Surgery Fund
To all of you who have traveled with us to San Jose del Pacifico in the Sierra Madre del Sur in Oaxaca, you've been treated to the love, food and hospitality of a group of sister's that run a family restaurant. Vita (Victoria) is one of those sisters.
Eight (8) days ago, she had the misfortune of falling and fracturing her hip, requiring surgery. This has created a huge financial burden for Vita and her sisters, who at the same time are trying to finish building a home for themselves which is now more than 10 years in the making.
She had her surgery to place a prosthesis and pins to correct the break on March 1. This procedure and follow up care will cost in excess of $100,000 Mexican Pesos, which at today's exchange rate comes to about $6,000 US Dollars.
Any and all immediate help is greatly appreciated.
