Help Amplify Youth Voices!
Tax deductible
Art and Resistance Through Education (ARTE) is a New York City-based non-profit that works to amplify youth voices for human rights change through the arts.
Using art, design, and technology, ARTE students develop creative projects that bring awareness to local and global human rights challenges. ARTE centers youth voices, encourages advocacy, and seeks to devise opportunities for young people to connect, collaborate, and share ideas on creative ways to advocate for human rights change in their communities.
Former participants have said that, through ARTE’s programming, they “learned how to work with others to create art, action, and knowledge.” The program not only helped students “foster [their] own creativity, work with the creative energy of others, and, together, build something that [they] are all proud of and that others can benefit from,” but also to “make friends and comrades who [they] feel that [they] can depend on in the future.”
I am a big supporter of ARTE’s work and empowering young people to fight for a more equitable world through art. Art has the incredible power to heal, especially in difficult times.
I have agreed to help ARTE raise $500 by our Visions of Justice Fundraiser on Sunday, March 3 at The Bronx Brewery. Please join me in supporting ARTE’s creative resistance movement through a donation and giving the gift of healing.
