Hello, my name is Leila and I am raising money to go on a Vision Trip to Belgium this coming May!

I am currently a freshman in college studying at Covenant College in Georgia, U.S. My first semester has had me feeling so blessed to be here! I’ve been having lots of fun connecting in various communities on campus, developing new relationships and learning in all my classes; I am pursuing a double major in Biology and Psychology.

This upcoming summer, I will be one of a group of twelve freshmen Covenant College Maclellan Scholars traveling to Belgium with hosts and one of our scholarship directors. This is a vision trip – a chance to learn from Belgian Christian leaders and their American partners in ministry to explore how this country interacts with contemporary Christianity.

Spiritually, Belgium is one of the most needy countries in Europe, with great spiritual apathy and faith largely banished from the public sphere. High numbers of immigration populations from Asian communities, Muslims and Eastern European ethnicities have caused there to be a large number of unreached peoples within Belgium’s borders.
