Vision Surgery Needed: Kayla's Hope for Sight
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Kayla Washington. I am a 23-year-old single mother who has been diagnosed with keratoconus since I was 16 years old. Keratoconus is an eye disease that causes your cornea to have more of a cone shape than a sphere. Over time, my corneas have gotten worse to the point that they now have scarring, which makes it hard for me to see even with glasses on.
On March 20, 2025, my eye doctor told me it was going to cost about $5,000 per eye to replace my corneas. If I don't get the surgery, there is a great possibility that I will be completely blind by the time my daughter turns 2 years old. I've been crying non-stop for hours thinking about having to continue life without being able to see. The thought of not being able to see my baby's beautiful face makes life seem pointless.
Any donation is highly appreciated. Please help me regain my eyesight so I can be the best mother I can be❤️
100% of all proceeds will go towards my eye surgery
Update: As of march 24 it has come to my attention that the 5000 per eye was for the cross linking surgery and not the cornea transplant. the cross linking surgery is just so the keratoconus does t get worse, i still need the corneal transplant surgery which is about 15000 per eye
