What if we could create a place where 100 horses could live with their needs, health, integrity and freedom of choice at the centre?

This is the vision behind Hästfristaden, founded through the work of Svenska Hästakademin in Sweden.

We are building a future where horses are understood as individuals, where their welfare comes before expectations of performance or obedience, and where people can learn to see the world from the horse's perspective.

Our long-term fundraising goal is SEK 10 million. This represents an ambition to create the land, facilities and sustainable resources needed to expand Hästfristaden and give more horses the opportunity to live according to their individual needs.

We know that a vision of this scale requires more than small donations. It requires people and organisations who see the potential in what we are building and want to help make it possible.

We are open to collaboration with:

- Landowners and property owners who may be interested in making land or suitable properties available for the future development of Hästfristaden.

- Private philanthropists and major donors who want to make a lasting contribution to equine welfare.

- Companies and strategic partners interested in supporting or collaborating on a long-term animal welfare initiative.

- Foundations and organisations whose objectives align with our work and whose funding criteria we may be eligible to meet.

- Knowledge and research partners who want to explore how practical experience, equine welfare and a deeper understanding of horse behaviour can contribute to positive change.

We are open to exploring different forms of collaboration, including financial support, access to land, partnerships and jointly developed projects.
